Four Chattanooga bars/restaurants—Brewhaus, The Terminal Brewhouse, Tremont Tavern and Urban Stack—made Urban Spoon’s list of 200 of America’s best bars. And Pepper Jack’s on Signal Mountain is also listed.

“Many people don’t think of the food when thinking about bars, but Urban Spoon community does,” Patrick O’Donnell with Urban Spoon said, according to a news release.

Urban Spoon is a restaurant information and recommendation service.
Chattanooga had the most from any Tennessee city, and only a handful of other cities—Denver, Chicago, New Orleans, St. Louis, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and San Antonio—had more than four bars on the list.

Nashville’s The Southern Steak & Oyster, Memphis’ Bardog Tavern, Knoxville’s Central Flats and Taps and Downtown Grill and Brewery, and Clarksville’s Black Horse Pub & Brewery all also made the list.

Urban Spoon’s most popular restaurant bars list includes 101 cities in 33 states, and those on the list are ones that got the most coverage and reviews from professional food critics, bloggers, the Urban Spoon community and diners, according to the release.
