Tennessee River Gorge Trust will host ‘Another Gorgeous Evening’ on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the amazing Tennessee RiverPlace. A fabulous dinner by Alshabibi Catering will be served on the lawn with music by the Ben Friberg Trio. Some unusual and exciting auction items will complete the evening’s allure.
The Tennessee River Gorge Trust’s annual sell-out event will be a celebration of over three decades of conservation of ‘Tennessee’s Grand Canyon’ through land protection, education and the promotion of good land stewardship. Thousands of people have supported the vision to preserve the Gorge…Forever!
The event venue is located at the entrance to the awe-inspiring Tennessee River Gorge, across from Williams Island just west of downtown Chattanooga. The Gorge displays its pristine beauty for 27 miles along the Tennessee River into Marion County.
“People who visit Chattanooga are not prepared for the majesty of the Gorge, whether they view it from the river, the road, or the air,” says retiring executive director, Jim Brown. “So many are not aware of the significance of protecting this special place or the fact that people have been working for decades to do so. Our organization wants to change that. We want people to come out to the Gorge, explore it and learn to love it, and a good place to start is with this event.”
The organization’s incoming Executive Director, Rick Huffines, will be on hand to welcome people and to meet all of the wonderful supporters who have made this amazing conservation effort a reality.
All of the money raised during ‘Another Gorgeous Evening’ will help the Trust continue its efforts of land protection, education and stewardship. Come join us and be a part of this lasting legacy!
