Ride For Life – Be Good. Be Strong. was the vision of our friend Mary Frances Firth. Mary lost her brave 5-year battle with melanoma in 2011. She was 35 years old. Her sister Molly Firth Hooper lost her life to brain cancer in 2008 at the age of 36. Brain cancer also took the life of their brother John Firth in 2009. He was 32 years old.

Mary knew her time was short. But she wanted to do everything she could to give back and keep fighting – even after her death. Ride For Life was established to celebrate the lives that have been lost, to honor the memories we hold dear and to do everything in our power to keep up the fight against cancer.

Joining their two surviving siblings, Jennie Firth Sheridan and Katy Firth, a growing group of friends has vowed to keep Mary’s vision strong. Together, we can make a difference and help support the innovative basic cancer research efforts underway at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
