Megabus expands area service, adds Cleveland connection Service begins Aug. 1

Leaders with, a city-to-city express bus company with fares starting at $1, announced that they are adding service from Cleveland, with connecting trips available from Chattanooga.

“We’re excited to expand our service area and provide Chattanooga customers with an additional destination,” Mike Alvich, vice president of marketing and public relations for Megabus USA, said in a prepared statement.

The new service starts Aug. 1.

Daily departures to Cleveland will leave from the parking lot on the east side of the Eastgate Mall Complex, with direct routes to Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio—with connections in Cincinnati available to Cleveland, Ohio; Buffalo, N.Y.; and Erie, Pa.

The Cleveland arrival and departure location is at the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority Stephanie Tubbs Jones Transit Center at the intersection of 22nd Street and Prospect Avenue, near Cleveland State University.

Customers are encouraged to book early to secure the best rates.

“The $1 fares go quickly, but there are many other great fares available if you book early,” Alvich said. “Traveling on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays is another great way Chattanooga customers can secure the best fares.”
